Make-A-Wish Foundation of Mississippi

"I wish to have a laptop computer."
(Jaquandria, age 11)

Jaquandria has always been curious about the world around her. However, due to her condition, she isn’t able to get out and explore the world as much as she would like. So when volunteers from the Make-A-Wish Foundation asked her what her one true wish would be, she knew that she wanted a laptop computer with an internet connection.

Through the generosity of the folks at the International Association of Workforce Professionals, Jaquandria had her laptop wish granted! The big evening started with a pizza party at her favorite restaurant, complete with balloons, a cake, and all of her family and friends. Next came the biggest surprise of all when Jaquandria was presented with a red laptop stocked full of her favorite games and software. Most importantly, a year of internet access had been provided by Internet Doorway, Inc. Now she’s all set to explore the world.
